안녕하세요. 요즘 해외여행 못 가서 너무 답답하시죠? 저도 그래서 얼마 전에 서울 속 작은 태국을 다녀왔는데요. 바로 공덕동에 위치한 팟타이로얄이라는 곳이에요.
Hello. Feeling frustrated because you can't travel abroad these days? I felt the same way, so I recently visited a little piece of Thailand right here in Seoul. It's a place called Pot Thai Royal in Gongdeok-dong.

팟타이로얄은 공덕역과 애오개역 중간쯤 마포경찰서 옆에 자리하고 있습니다.
Pot Thai Royal is located near the middle of Gongdeok Station and Aeogae Station, right next to Mapo Police Station.

태국 여행 가서 먹었던 그 맛 그대로 느낄 수 있었던 식당이에요.
공덕역 3번 출구에서 도보 10분 거리에 위치해 있고 근처에 경의선 숲길이 자리 잡고 있어 산책하다가 허기지면 식사하러 가기 좋답니다.
현지 느낌 물씬 풍기는 매장 내부 모습인데요.
전체적으로 깔끔하면서 세련된 스타일이고 곳곳에 놓인 장식품 구경하는 재미도 쏠쏠하답니다.
It's a restaurant where you can experience the taste just as you had in Thailand during your trip. It is located a 10-minute walk from Exit 3 of Gongdeok Station, and the nearby Gyeongui Line Forest Road provides a nice place for a stroll, making it convenient to grab a meal when you get hungry. The interior of the restaurant exudes a local atmosphere. It has an overall clean and stylish style, and exploring the various decorations placed around adds to the enjoyment.

매장 안쪽에는 식사 할 수 있는 홀이 마련되어 있는데요.
단체 모임도 가능해 보였어요.
원목 테이블과 의자 그리고 고풍스러운 샹들리에 조명까지 더해져서 고급스럽고 차분한 분위기 연출되더라고요.
중요한 약속 있거나 가족 행사 때 오면 좋을 것 같아요.
그리고 태국 현지 소품과 장식품들로 현지 느낌을 더욱 살려줬어요.
Inside the establishment, there is a dining hall where you can enjoy your meal. It seemed suitable for group gatherings, with wooden tables, chairs, and elegant chandelier lighting creating a sophisticated and calm atmosphere. It would be a great place for important meetings or family events. Moreover, the restaurant is adorned with Thai local items and decorations, enhancing the local atmosphere.
다양한 종류의 태국 요리를 맛볼 수 있는 곳
이곳에서는 여러 가지 다채로운 태국요리 판매하고 있었는데요.
그중에서도 가장 인기 있는 메뉴는 팟타이와 똠양꿍이라고 하더라고요.
팟타이는 새콤달콤한 소스에 새우와 숙주나물 넣고 볶은 쌀국수고 똠양꿍은 각종 해산물과 향신료 넣어 끓인 국물 요리랍니다.
여기에 맥주나 와인 곁들이면 더 맛있게 먹을 수 있어요.
This place offers a variety of diverse Thai dishes. Among them, the most popular menu items are Pad Thai and Tom Yum Goong. Pad Thai is stir-fried rice noodles with shrimp and bean sprouts in a sweet and sour sauce, while Tom Yum Goong is a soup dish made with various seafood and spices. 향신료 부담스럽지 않을 정도로만 적당히 들어가서 감칠맛 나는 게 입맛 돋우기에 제격이더라고요.
똠양꿍은 세계 3대 수프 중 하나로 꼽힐 만큼 유명한 음식이잖아요.
첫 도전하시는 분들도 충분히 드실 수 있을 거예요.
Both of the dishes you ordered were excellent, living up to their reputation as best menu items. They were well-balanced with just the right amount of spices, providing a flavorful experience without being overwhelming. Tom Yum Goong is renowned as one of the world's top three soups, and it's a famous dish. Even those trying it for the first time should find it quite enjoyable.
모닝글로리는 공심채라고도 불리는데요, 중화권, 동남아권에서 볶음요리로 즐겨 먹는 채소입니다.
와이프가 이 채소를 워낙 좋아하기 때문에 하나 주문해서 먹었는데,
쓴 야채를 싫어하는 저도 입맛에 맞았습니다.
합리적인 가격대의 런치 코스도 인기
용강동 맛집으로 소문난 이곳은 점심시간에 가면 착한 가격대로 즐길 수 있는 런치 코스요리가 있는데요.
다양한 종류의 요리 맛보고 싶은 분들께 안성맞춤이에요.
부담스럽지 않은 가격이기 때문에 여럿이서 방문해도 좋을 듯싶어요.
Morning glory, also known as water spinach, is a vegetable commonly enjoyed in stir-fry dishes in Chinese and Southeast Asian cuisines. Because my wife really likes this vegetable, we ordered one, and even though I usually dislike bitter vegetables, it suited my taste.

내부는 이국적인 분위기 물씬 풍기는 모던한 인테리어로 꾸며져 있었는데요.
테이블 간격 여유 있게 배치되어 있었고
분위기 좋아서 연인끼리 오붓하게 식사하거나 가족모임 혹은 회식장소로도 손색없겠더라고요.
The interior was adorned with a modern and exotic atmosphere. The tables were generously spaced, creating a pleasant ambiance that would be suitable for intimate meals between couples or as a great venue for family gatherings or work dinners.
친절한 서비스가 돋보이는 곳
사장님께서 무척 친절하셔서 음식 먹는 내내 기분 좋았어요.
메뉴 하나하나 설명해주시고 입맛에 맞는지 물어봐 주시더라고요.
그리고 식기류나 물티슈 떨어지면 바로바로 챙겨주셔서 감사했어요.
화장실을 가는데, 현지인 셰프로 보이시는 분이 90도 인사를 두 번이나 하셔서 친절함에 깜짝 놀랐습니다.
The owner was extremely kind, making my dining experience delightful. They explained each menu item in detail and asked if it suited my taste. Additionally, they promptly provided utensils and napkins when needed, for which I was grateful. When I went to the restroom, a chef who seemed to be a local greeted me with a 90-degree bow not once but twice, surprising me with their kindness.

맛이면 맛! 퀄리티면 퀄리티! 뭐 하나 빠지는 게 없었던 공덕동 맛집이었어요.
다음에는 부모님 모시고 가보려고요.
